Birmingham Southern College

Birmingham Southern College is a private liberal arts institution that was created on May 30, 1918, as a result of the amalgamation of two universities. The two founding institutions were Birmingham College, which was established in 1898 in Birmingham, Alabama, and Southern University, which was established in 1856 in Greensboro, Alabama. The college received its current name as a result of the consolidation, and its current location is Birmingham, Alabama.
